Customer Service
Our counters in the Middle East are open.
Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa - If you are placing bookings from countries located in the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa, online booking amendments will be implemented from August 15, 2022. We have transitioned to an all-digital booking amendment process, and with this step, all email and phone requests have been discontinued. This means that your booking amendments will be processed faster, and you will be able to manage them through our online tool available here. Thinking about your cargo planning, please know that once the amendment has been requested online, the processing time will be four (4) working hours. Please keep in mind that once you place your request, you will not have to send emails or make follow-up calls. If you should require additional information, please contact our customer service team at your location, who will guide you based on your individual situation.
Pakistan - To expedite the empty container drop-off process and to prevent disruption, please clear all stipulated charges before dropping off empty containers. For all your inquiries, please write to us at [email protected]
Kuwait - Remember to use the Free time & Detention calculator, where you can also find the container guarantee with the Import amendment letter format, which must be submitted under Consignee/Notify party’s letter head “POST MANIFEST SUBMISSION”.
Qatar – To enhance ease of doing business for our clients who use online transfers and reduce delays in issuance of documents, we have made the following changes to our counter process. Customers can now request documents such as Bill of Ladings, Delivery Orders and Gate pass extensions by presenting and uploading “Proof of payment PDF transfer receipts” in ODEX. This proof of payment should show the transfer as ‘confirmed’ by the bank and have a ‘value date’ same as or earlier than the current date on which Hapag-Lloyd documents are being requested. Once documentation is submitted in ODEX, our counter team will release requested documents.
India: for all customer service related enquiries, including Dangerous and Out of Gauge cargo, please write to [email protected] The email address [email protected] will be closed from October 1, 2022.
Effective September 13, 2022, we have discontinued the requirement of placing a “Container Security Deposit” for issuance of Import Delivery Documents in India. Should you require any clarification, please feel free to reach out to our team at [email protected]
