  • Operations across Middle East and Indian Subcontinent continue to run normally. Our offices are open, and our staff are handling documentation. 
  • India – Ports, Terminals and ICDs continue to work normally
  • Sri Lanka - The country's economy has been hit hard by the pandemic. Shortage of medicines, fuel and other essentials are pushing the cost of living at record highs.

Terminal Operations
Some terminals slightly affected by labor reductions, but operations continue close to normal. See the latest terminal status with a map overview here.

  • Colombo –Smooth port operations. No berthing delays reported at SAGT/CCIT/JCT
  • Bangladesh - Berthing congestion at GCB, CCT and NCT/5 of 2-3 days. At NCT/2,3 & 4 of up to 2 days

Customer Service

  • India - All offices and counters are operating as per normal office working hours. However, please consider using the Seaway Bills of Lading functionality for export and import shipments to speed up collection of your documents
  • Saudi Arabia –  The Saudi Arabian Government has announced a suspension of cargo imports to Saudi Arabia from Lebanon. With this regulation in place, we will not be able to accept your cargo on this specific routing.
  • Sharjah, UAE - From November 1, 2021, our product for the Emirate of Sharjah was upgraded. You can now select direct delivery of your dry containers to the following industrial locations in Sharjah (AESHJ) - Sharjah Industrial Area (Up to ICD) / Saif Free Zone Sharjah / Sajah and Al Dhaid. For a smoother customer experience, please pre-select your preferred sub-location for future bookings. Currently we are unable to offer this service for DG, Reefer and Specials, which remain on CY basis only.
  • Syria - The booking restrictions to/from Syria for the following countries have been lifted – United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, however, specific terms and conditions apply related to payment terms. For more information, please contact your local Sales/Customer Service teams.
  • UAE – All Delivery Order (D/O) requests and payments must be submitted via ODeX platform. Cash payments are only accepted in limited amounts through Al Fardan Exchange added to ODeX. Dubai counter is open with regular business day hours.

  • For faster BL release at destination, you can switch from OBL to SWB, if any assistance needed please reach out to your customer service documentation team

 Indian Subcontinent – Mediterranean Express (IMX)

  • There will be no sailing from Hamad, Qatar (Westbound) on July 5, 2022, and all vessels will adjust their schedules by 1 week

Indian Ocean Service (IOS)

  • MV Kyoto Express V2216E / V2324W will omit Mundra, India, and imports will discharge in Jebel Ali, UAE for further connection to their final port of delivery
  • MV Sofia Express V2217E / V2325W will omit Karachi, Pakistan, Nhava Sheva and Hazira in India. Imports will discharge in Jebel Ali, UAE for further connection to their final port of delivery
  • The planned omission of Hazira, India will continue until third week of August
  • There will be a weekly alternating omission of Nhava Sheva and Mundra in India until third week of August.

Indian Ocean Service 3 (IO3)

  • No updates

Southeast India - Europe Express (IEX)

  • The planned omission of Vizag, India will continue until mid-August

China – Kenya Express (CKX)

  • There will be no sailings from Mombasa, Kenya (eastbound) on July 10, 17 and 24, 2022

Asia – West Africa Service (AWA)

  • MV Maersk Idaho V218E will leave the service in Cape Town, South Africa by first week of July. Imports on board will be transshipped on MV Navios Delight V224E until Singapore.

South Africa Express (SAF also known as SAX)

  • MSC Domitille VNZ221A will omit Cape Town, South Africa

Mediterranean – West Africa Express (MWX)

  • No updates

East Africa Service 2 (EA2)
