• Congestion at Le Havre Terminals gate-in congestion with possible pass-through charges at these terminals in the event of additional storage/handling.
  
  
• Spain: Train service between Bilbao and Valencia will be interrupted due to maintenance works from May 15 to 20, 2024. This interruption affects both import and export services.

Antwerp, Belgium 

• PSA 913: Yard at 85% - 90% utilization. Reefers at 70% - 75%, empties at 80% - 85%.

• PSA 869: Yard stable at 60% - 65% utilization. Reefer at 45% - 50% utilization. Empties at 55% - 60% utilization. Civil works at PSA 869 resulting in ~400 meters reduction of berth started and is allowing one large vessel alongside at times but focus of cranes on one vessel is boosting productivity.

• AGW: Yard at 60% - 65% utilization. Reefer at 60% - 65% utilization. Empties at 60% – 65%.
  

Rotterdam, Netherlands

• ECT: Yard at 65% - 85%. Empty and reefer stocks under control. High berth line-up with increased feeder demands and ad-hoc calls.

• RWG: Yard at 75% - 80% utilization. Slight operational challenges this week due to insufficient tug capacity in the port of Rotterdam.
  

United Kingdom

• SOU: Yard at 80% - 85%. Reefers at 70% - 75%.

• LGP: Yard at 55% - 60% utilization. Reefers at 55% - 60% utilization. Commissioning of recently delivered new Gantry cranes in progress and will be completed this week. Second batch of expected by end of May beginning of June.
  

Hamburg, Germany 

• CTA: Yard at 75% - 80%. Terminal started with shore power installations beginning of March, which slightly reduces berth availability, again no impact to operations for this week. Terminal will stop operations for the Pentecost holiday on 18/05 12:30 until 20/05 07:00. Monday (20/05) terminal will be working with voluntary labor.

• CTB: Yard at 60% - 65% utilization. Ongoing shore power construction poses low-impact challenges to operations for all piers at CTB because the construction moves around the vessel arrivals. Berth line-up with back-to-back vessels until end of May for all available main liner piers. One berth closed for gantry crane decommissioning.

• Terminal will implement new Terminal Operating System over the coming weekend which will result in operational down time. Terminal will stop operations again for the Pentecost holiday on 18/05 12:30 until 20/05 07:00. With Monday (20/05) terminal will be working with voluntary labor.
  

G.M.P. Le Havre, France

• CNMP/GMP/TNMSC: GMPs at 60% - 65%. Reefers at 70% - 75% utilization. CNMP LH: Dry/reefer/Empties stand at 50% utilization. No operational challenges to report. All terminals in Le Havre will close the gates from 07/2000 – 10/0600 due to national holiday but water side operations will continue regularly.
  

Italy 

• Genoa PSA GP (vte): Due to civil works ongoing in the area nearby Genoa SECH port terminal (Parco Rugna), Port Authority confirmed that for safety reason, rail operations at SECH must be suspended with immediate effect till the end of renewal works, expected by March 20, 2024. During this period, for all vessels calling Sech terminal we will be able to manage containers from / to Milan and Lombardian Area at the standard Combined Rail conditions.
• LSCT terminal: No gate restrictions on import and export side - usual restrictions related to DG/OOG/RF cargo are in place.
• GPT terminal in Genoa: Gate restrictions still in place for DG and RF exports due to IMO park and plug restrictions.
  

Algier

• No updates for this week

Israel

• Operations under emergency situations
  • While ports are considered essential services and are expected to operate "as usual", our operations are being conducted in accordance with a contingency plan and guidelines provided by the relevant authorities, including the Home Front Command (Army) and the Ports and Shipping Authority (IMOT). Please note that some port employees have been recruited by the defence forces, which may lead to delays and disruptions.

• Haifa IMO restrictions remain in place as follows:
  • No new DG bookings for loading/unloading
  • NO problem for transit DG cargo
  • Waterborne DG cargo may be unloaded and stored at ILHFA port upon approval by the Ministry of Transport, except for Bromine/Amonia - IMO 2.1, 2.3 which will be treated as DIRECT DELIVERY ONLY.
  • Following an announcement regarding a "special situation in the hinterland" in the geographical area in which the Port of Ashdod is located, the Ministry of Transport has instructed the Port to regulate the entry of vessels carrying hazardous materials ("HAZMAT") of any kind, subject to prior approval by the Israel Maritime and Port Authority.

• Ashdod Port has updated restrictions for DG as follows:
  • No new DG bookings for loading/unloading
  • NO problem for transit DG cargo
  • Waterborne DG cargo may be unloaded and stored at ILASH port upon approval by the Ministry of Transport, except for Bromine/Amonia - IMO 2.1, 2.3 which will be treated as DIRECT DELIVERY ONLY.
  • Reefers containing HAZARDOUS WATER will be handled as DIRECT DELIVERY ONLY.

• UK and Ireland: Our booking confirmation for shipments on feeder vessels sailing from the United Kingdom and Ireland will now show the link to our Hapag-Lloyd Website. On this link you'll be able to find the free time allowed on quay and the storage/demurrage charges that will be incurred if this is exceeded. In addition, the shipping instructions cut-off period will be the same as VGM, MRN or UCR, and DGN. You will be able to see this on your booking confirmations from May 20, 2024.
• For the surrender of Original Bills of Lading prior to container release at destination, please contact your local office for detailed guidance, they are happy to assist you. Please also consider electronic payment channels.
